Barney Miller

Shows I was watching in the seventies is my theme for the A-Z challenge this April.

 Boom, bappaboom, bappaboom- go ahead and listen again for yourself...
Did you get your groove on? This show? How I loved this show. Barney, Harris, Wojo, Fish, Yemana...to highlight just some of the key ingredients in that precinct's melting pot. They were all so interesting and incredibly entertaining to me. Thinking back on the characters is like reflecting on old friends, granted they would have been an odd assortment of peers for a nine year old girl.

    I've seen a few episodes of this one. But seen all the episode of All in the Family from yesterday. Great show.

    Ya know, one of our tv channels carries that, I might have to sit down and watch it again. I guess you aren't the only kid with odd friends! :)

    I remember that show. The hash laced brownies episode comes to mind. That was an all time classic!

    We watched this every week! Used to joke with my folks that it was such an old show but really I had a serious crush on Hal Linden.

    Another theme song time machine for me too! My great-uncle looked so much like Fish it wasn't funny. Actually it was pretty funny.

    I vaguely remember that show, but never really watched it. Love your theme. And I enjoyed listening to the groovy tune. :)

    Oh dear, I've never heard of Barney Miller! I watched the video but nope... no idea. Never seen it. Perhaps it's because I'm British and I grew up in Portugal! Although we did have some awesome TV shows from the US, like All in the Family (I loved Archie Bunker!) and Family Ties. (I loved the music on your video though)

    I didn't really watch but I remember the theme song.
    It reminds me of my parents watching television and that is so comforting.
