Random sitting

Things have been busy around here for the past week. We were watching a little doggy friend. That may sound easy, but he can be super hard to see...
...as far as he knows...
 ...and he was sassy too!

Another week randomly flying by

Yes, it's that most wonderful and shiny time of the year again!
I can't hog all of the fun for myself. I just want to make sure the rest of the neighbors get to experience some barn swallow joy. The fascinating mud nests, the thrill of dodging the swooping (let alone the pooping).

I went to visit the aviary population in their own habitat. Apparently the swallows received word about my arrival...
...cold shoulder wing, much? How about the Great Blue Heron rookery? (Yeah, my friend is a big time birder, so I have the lingo as well as knowing who I was looking at.)
Feeding time!
Speaking of feeding time, this was a yummy lunch - chorizo and potato taco...
...and then my first trip to a noodle house for dinner...
...the food came practically before we ordered! Sorry, Baxter, no doggy bag (or at least not one I was willing to share).
At least you came inside with time to spare...
Pepe Le Pew!!! Apparently my cousin and his family have Wild Kingdom going on in their back yard, even if I don't have all relevant supporting photographic evidence here to prove it. I can show that sometimes even three year olds have their own creepy little monkeys...
...I remain in awe of how long these folks have kept track of these tiny little friends! Well this has been me...

...interacting as myself!

Some leftover random

I didn't want to overwhelm and overwow you with last week's return to the random, so I held back a couple of gems. I may have overestimated the danger of that happening, and need not have been concerned.

In the meantime, I hope that this lost item has been found.
I think the artistic representation is a little lacking, and it is a shame there was no actual photo for them to use.

President Barbie, Doctor Barbie...
...but she isn't the only one living the dream...
...(sigh) Let's keep in mind the actual target audience for Barbie and her friends, or just hope this is intended to have gag gift written all over him and his latte cup.

In one final quest to lower my cholesterol naturally over the next few months, I have traded in my peanut m&m's for Cheerios. GASP! I don't think we need to see a photo of what that looks like, do we?! Then again, you might think it looks like sadness, but that just means you haven't been hanging around here long enough to remember my 2015 love letter to General Mills

I was trying to send my sister a gif. (My name is Andrea, and now that I finally figured out where these are on my phone, I might be obsessed with sending them.) This was not the one I meant to send, but there it went anyway. I am taking it as a sign that the time has come...
...to dust off my cape! Or maybe dust with my cape? Or maybe just dust? There is a chance I have misread some signals, but we'll see where we go!

Happy Mother’s Day!

Happy Mother's Day!

Do not adjust your sets people! This sepia gone wild tint is just how we rolled in the early seventies. Our style was on point. Why have I not worn a beret since? I suddenly miss knee socks, as well as those knees. Mom's hair is the same, and looks fabulous, but I am not sure I can rock bangs like that anymore.

Mom, I love you dearly and am so grateful that you have loved, put up with, humored, and supported me, and have always been by my side...always (and we have the photos to prove it). Next stop - JCPenney photo studio!!! Oh yes, you know I am not kidding, and have googled "mother daughter portrait poses"...

Random May

Now that we have confirmed that I still know the alphabet, it is time (once again) to put my rally cap on and try to breathe some life back into this little blog of mine! I need to freshen up the place a bit, some febreeze maybe? Plants always add a little something to an otherwise drab space.
Oh dear!
I didn't realize you could purchase dead artificial plants, but they do look realistic for my green thumb skill level I guess. I think I would like something a bit brighter...
Well those blooms might attract some lovelies!
But Hummer's Galore? That might attract something else all together...something far more creepy!
Maybe I could offer you a snack?
(and a bucket for that little bit of throw up in your mouth?)

I guess we can just try the standards, since a bit of stabbing underwire indicates it is that time again...
 ...and also...
