Rehab...Amy Winehouse, 2006
The time has finally come when I ought to celebrate the aughts, and the music they brought, for the a-z challenge this year
This is not the first song this month that has had an upbeat tempo to encourage you to sing along and almost not pay attention to the gravity of the words passing your lips. (I'm looking at you How to Save a Life.)
It's truly tragic that she became famous for singing about what ultimately led to her death. I mean, we couldn't possibly say we didn't know!
ReplyDeleteI love Amy. And this song.
ReplyDeleteHow I love her--and this song. I'm so sad that she's gone. I had to talk to someone about going to rehab and he sang part of this song to me. Later, he changed his mind. He's much happier. I hope Amy is singing for everyone in heaven.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Great song -- especially when writing :-)
