Musings from Suburbia on a variety of everyday topics. I have realized that MANY times, it is "just me", but I always hold out hope that there are others out there who occasionally see things as I do.
Great movie, and yes forgot all about the soundtrack except for that final scene.
I liked 'up where we belong'. I saw the movie once, but I'm not really into romance/chick flicks. It was filmed in Washington State though, I want to say Bremerton!
But you saw it! Yay!
I this movie had a theme song, Up Where We Belong, but I guess I wasn't aware there was a soundtrack. I could say plenty about this movie... OMGoodness that last scene gets me every time. Every time. You might already be planning on talking about this, and I used to talk talk about it way back when on my blog when I did Saturday Inspirational Song posts... The 80s completely changed music and movies (and movie soundtracks) in terms of sales. They all just fed on each other. Very few people saw it coming, and some worked that medium (MTV) better than others. I'm not sure that MJ would've ever sold as many Thriller albums without MTV. So, it really worked for an artist or band who knew how to use it. But the other thing was movies with soundtracks. That movie got all sorts of free promotion via MTV and the theme song. The smart videos put footage of the movie in the song. The whole just built on itself to create blockbuster movies and songs.
I did not have a plan for anything quite that informative...hahaha! Thanks for sharing!:)

Is your aversion to Richard Gere or the story?
Oh...an Officer and a Gentleman...Great soundtrack.
And some halfway decent acting…I guess ;)
