Letter Rip* Contest - Week 5

*Another name for this contest that was sadly rejected.

This week I am going to to share something from my "I love you, but..." line of letters. Not sure what this is all about? Click here for the story.

Dear Juicy Juicers,

My how we have grown. I can remember when my kids were barely old enough to finish one of your small juice boxes on their own. I always liked how that little size could sustain them for a grocery shopping excursion, or play a vital part of having breakfast at the store. We went through a lot of the large bottles back in the day as well, filling up sippy cups. Those kids are now teenagers who drink up at least a ten-pack of larger juice boxes a week in their lunchboxes. I believe they have also mastered the “don’t squeeze the box!”

Juicy Juice enables me to feel like I have put an extra healthy item in those insulated bags to help balance out the cookies that inevitably find their way in, right next to the chips. There are so many flavors to choose from, but sadly I have not stumbled upon the Strawberry-Kiwi at our grocery store. The orange variety is always a crowd pleaser here, and seems fairly unique.

The volume discount of purchasing the four package case of your juice boxes always has high appeal. However, nobody here will drink the blue “berry” flavor! It is in the big packs of both size boxes. I can still remember back when Arthur was on the boxes, and seeing his sad rejected face lingering in the back of our refrigerator. I am afraid the savings would be lost if I had to give ten boxes away, especially considering there are other flavors they enjoy so much.  I could donate them, but that still cuts our variety down to three flavors. I could pretend that I have absolutely no recollection of the times they have told me not to buy that flavor. Not a bad idea!

100% juicy thanks,

Andrea Casarsa

The response? I received a coupon for a free 8-pack of Juicy Juice boxes, as well as two other coupons for more Juicy savings. Score! These were received in plenty of time to help out with lunch supplies. I did feel a little badly that the fine folks who read my letter seemed to zoom in more on the blue box of sadness, than the juicy joy.

You'll be happy to know that we all gave the berry another chance, and learned to accept it. Cheers to you, Juicy Juice...and 5 points to me! Add that to my previous 11 points, and I am at 16 points...now check out who Marianne's got up this week!

  2. Great score! Although I did feel bad for the berry flavour that sat rejected in your fridge.

  4. Back in the day when my daughter was little, we used to listen to a band called "Foreigner." Together, we sang about a "Juice Box Hero." Now it appears that you ARE one!

  5. They should give you a coupon for such good advertisement. I hadn't heard of Juicy Juicers until right now. You're building brand recognition. Well done.

  8. That was a great letter. I don't drink Juicy Juice and even I was sad for poor little Arthur left behind in the fridge. I am so glad you gave him another chance.

Also... Just wanted to let you know that I dedicated something to you on the HERE'S TO YOU post.
