Some minor random issues

Since I just posted yesterday, I was thinking I could skip the pleasantries and just get right to it. Does that offend anyone? (If so, hello, how are you?)

Can you spot anything off about my dozen roses?

How about this obvious problem I had when opening a paper bag that had been stapled shut. (Bag is literally hanging in this picture, but captured poorly. I was home alone and that is my dominant hand. Oh, and it hurt a little.)

And here is why my daughter says I should not store my candy bars upright (as in the precise way it was displayed when purchased).
All of the caramel ran to the bottom, so when I was having an emergency and broke off a piece from the top of the bar, it was empty (and sad).

Speaking of chocolate, here is another Mother's Day gift...
Awesome, right?

  1. I count 11 roses. Hmmmm.......Sorry about that staple though. It happens to me all the time too. I've never stored a candy bar upright, just flat and in the fridge b/c I like my candy cold vs. melty.

  2. Somebody needed just one rose and grabbed it from your bouquet before it left the shop? Interesting, and sorry to hear about the staple. I never thought about how one might store a candy bar. Flat?

    1. The stem is still in there...just the flower was missing with a clean cut!

  3. Hmm, if 13 is a bakers dozen, what is 11???

  4. My candy bars are stored by being flung randomly in the cabinet with the plates because my son can't reach them there. That boy is like a hoover when it comes to chocolate, and I have to protect my stash for when I feel better!

It took me three times of counting the flowers to get 11. I'm a little out of it, I guess...

  5. I only see 11 roses, with a stem that's missing its head. Whatever happened to a baker's dozen? You're technically 2 short (no, not TOO short!!!) with that thinking. You know, if you were a baker. :)

I'm giggling over the angst of your candy bar - I totally would have been bummed if I'd been looking forward to a caramel-y center to find it empty (and settled way down at the bottom instead). :)

I LOVE that kitchen towel! Awesome! Happy Mother's Week! ;)

Oh no - looks like one rose didn't make the journey! they still are beautiful though.

  7. I am thoroughly confused by the rose mystery as well as the staple thing. What's the issue?

    1. Aside from one stem missing a rose and that staple hanging off my finger by the skin, there really weren't any issues. ;)
