W is for...

…White Nights

Soundtracks That Mattered (to me) is my theme for the A-Z Challenge this April.

The dancing, the music, the story! This was another one of my cassette soundtracks. If I had to guess, I bought it for this song in particular...

Totally captured the drama of a teenage girl's love life, or well, you know whatever was happening in the movie that may or may not have paled in comparison.

Soon after, I couldn't get enough of the rest of the songs either!

OK, I tried, but I just can't resist...one last serving of cake for Kari's birthday week celebration. Not her favorite John Hughes flavor, but still, better than no cake at all!

  1. WEE!! I am the first comment!!!
It's like I won the lottery!
All this pressure to make a good impression.
Wow, I didn't realize how scary it is being the first comment.
Okay, now I don't want to be the first comment any more.
Maybe by the time I am done writing, I WON'T be the first comment!

And yet, Weird Science STILL isn't my favorite John Hughes movie.
    But I still love you!

    1. I think it's harder to be a later comment, especially when people have said funny stuff! You have some tough acts to follow over at your place sometimes! ;)

It still isn't my favorite either, and I still love you!

  2. I loved Mikail Baryshnikov. And Gregory Hines was so good. Now I have to watch it again. Oh you are a bad influence!!

  6. I've never seen this movie.

Oingo Boingo and Weird Science, though...That I know.

    I'm so cultured.

  7. I love that movie! Baryshnikov had such grace and I was always a fan of Gregory Hines.

Oingo Boingo and Weird Science - so typically 80s! ☺

  8. I thought 'say you say me' by lionel richie was part of that movie? At least, the music video for it showed Gregory & Mikhail dancing and stuff.

    1. It does say online that it was a featured song, yet isn't on the soundtrack...

  12. I remember sitting in the theater with my new boyfriend watching this movie. Our parents had to drop us off because we were only 15. It had a huge impact on me! I loved the movie and I LOVED the soundtrack! Well done. :)
