…The Truth About Cats & Dogs
Soundtracks That Mattered (to me) is my theme for the A-Z Challenge this April.
Back many years ago, there was falling in love. This soundtrack offered such a cool celebration of that joy and wonder. The mix of songs and artists felt hip and cool, with just a little touch of "now what?" mixed in.
I had never heard anything by the Cowboy Junkies before, nor can I think of anything since, but I do love this song.
One of my friends was real into the Cowboy Junkies but try as I might, I just never really cottoned to them. Is this movie good?
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen it since the theater, but do remember enjoying it!
DeleteHi, Andrea: I've been catching your music selections over at Robin's blog. Good stuff! Great idea for a theme you have as well. The Cowboy Junkies were huge in the 90s. Loved this movie!
ReplyDeleteHey! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI really liked this movie when it came out. With the exception of Blues Traveler, I really don't remember any of the music listed on the soundtrack.
ReplyDeleteFunny how some movies sent me right out to get the soundtrack
DeleteI always liked Janeane Garafalo. Was not aware of the soundtrack. A different mix that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed her as well, haven't seen her in awhile.
DeleteI enjoyed this movie. Funny, but I didn't even know it had a soundtrack. Gah. It's always interesting to see what songs are chosen for a soundtrack. They often capture the spirit of the movie. I bet this is a good one...
ReplyDeleteThat is funny, as here I had to run out to buy the soundtrack, and you will all of your music love didn't notice it.
DeleteBlog hopping from North Carolina during the #Challenge. I started WAY down the participant list figuring they wouldn't get as much traffic. readers. ReplyDeleteI always start with a visiting plan and then end up hopping all over the place! I'd love some Tea! :)

ReplyDeleteRevisit the Tender Years with me during the #AtoZChallenge at Life & Faith in Caneyhead!
That is a great description! The movie is worth a watch...I't been 20 years, I may have to watch it again!
DeleteI don't think I've ever seen this one all the way through, but I see Al Green on that soundtrack. Good enough for me!

Give it a whirl!
DeleteWhat??? Not Top Gun? You must have watched that movie a dozen times (maybe exaggerating here) and it has a great sound track.
ReplyDeleteNope, no exaggeration, but I went with my head versus my heart on this letter... ;)
