C is for...

…Caddyshack

Soundtracks That Mattered (to me) is my theme for the A-Z Challenge this April.

I am not saying that this is a soundtrack I spent a lot of time listening to, but some great things do happen when you bring Kenny Loggins to the movie mix. (Spoiler alert: Not his last appearance!) Even better things happen when you couple his singing with a gopher puppet.
My other favorite memorable musical scene from the movie is when Al (Rodney Dangerfield) flips on his tricked out golf bag, blasting Journey's Anyway You Want It, while dancing on the course.

  2. Every time I hear about Kenny Loggins, I think about the line in MST3000-the Movie where one of the robots (in the spaceship) says, "I hope they land right on Kenny Loggins." I'm like NOOOO! I love Kenny Loggins!!!

  8. My husband loves that movie. Watches it every time it's on. The song reminds me of elementary school. Music was so fun back then!

  10. We do the gopher dance all the time!
Just saw Micheal O'Keefe on L&O SVU and I thought he was so old, but that would make me old, too.

  12. I loved this movie (and Chevy Chase particularly in the 70s, but the Vacation movies are also great). I'm not familiar with most of the songs on this soundtrack. However, as you have pointed out, Kenny Loggins and movie theme song seem to just go together!

  14. I love this movie.
It is my husband's favorite as well but because he was a caddy all through high school and college.
We even used to have a stuffed gopher...not a real one....in our office.
    Until it went missing.
    I KNOW NOTHING.
