52 Weeks of happiness - Week 44

I was s happy that I got to go cross-country skiing this past weekend! The weather was perfect and the conversation made the ninety minutes or more each day (almost) fly by. I was so happy that I thought to bring my camera. I charged the battery so that there wouldn't be any disappointments. It wasn't until I took that camera out of my pocket, while we waited for some snowmobilers to go by, that I realized I had not put the battery back in. Oops!

Maybe taking super fun pictures did not make me happy this week, but the skiing still did, so I am willing to settle for the cellphone shot!

  2. Glad you're having fun! I actually brought my camera to capture a bunch of weepy moms together after we went to see Les Mis tonight. It was going to make the blog. It wasn't until my minivan full of moms was on the way home before someone piped up, "you forgot your picture!" D'oh!

  4. I haven't gone cross-country skiing in years and years! It's one of my favourite winter sports. I really have to figure out how to get my skis from my parents' house across the country.

I had to laugh about your camera. Makes me think of a special occasion when we were kids (school concert? First communion? Can't remember...) when Mom took dozens and dozens of photos. If only she'd put film in the camera first...

  5. That darn battery! As much as we pay for cameras, you'd think that the batteries could insert themselves. I have always wanted to try cross country skiing. I would hope that I would be better at it than downhill, which usually ends up with me kissing a tree...

  6. I grew up in Jersey amongst the snow and cold. Never learned to ski. Love living in the desert, never want to see another snowflake again.
