52 Weeks of Happiness - Week 19

Being on vacation in Cape Cod last week made me really happy! Here are just a few highlights...
My niece making friends with hermit crabs
Dribble sandcastles bring a smile to my face, as I remember watching them being made on Blue's Clues with my much younger kids. Plus, they are just so cool!
Boogie boarding with Grandpa
My son made this racetrack for his cousin to run around. So many laps!
Another shark free beautiful sunny day
One more thing about vacation that made me happy...the mindset that allows you to believe that yes, in fact your haul onto the beach did burn far more calories than contained in one innocent coconut frozen yogurt!
Mmmmm...Sundae School!

Stop by to visit Leigh and see what made other folks happy this week. I love this quest!

  3. Lovely! And I'm jealous...I have hermit crabs in an aquarium, I would have been much happier seeing them on the beach. Maybe I need to visit Cape Cod? :)

  4. Oh my gosh, amen sistah! Heck yes, you burn more calories at the beach! Always! I just know I'd be skinny as a twig if I lived there, for sure! That, along with a daily helping of ice cream to boot!

What great fun and wonderful memories to cherish!

  5. Awww. I love little kiddie fascination with the hermit crabs! Warms the cockles of my heart.

And obviously you know of the vacation rule, yes? When you are on vacation, your body also take a break from gaining all the weight that you would normally gain from all calorie laden delicacies. Thus, prohibitting all weight gains during said holiday. This is the law. It's science, so it must be true.*

*Probably completely and totally made up, but don't tell me because I'm leaving for the beach this afternoon, and need to believe this totally valid (not really) rule.
