Random getaway

It was not my intent, but I missed a week! I have an excuse, and I will leave it up to you to decide whether or not you think it's a good one. What if I said I brought you a flower and some other neat photos?
My daughter and I went to Atlanta! Years ago we used to watch a show called The Aquarium on Animal Planet that featured the Georgia Aquarium. It looked so cool, so I told my daughter we would go someday. I meant it at the time, but also was self-aware enough to know that new adventures really were not my thing. The universe put the dots so close together this spring though that I was able to see the sign to go, even if slightly reluctantly. My daughter's friend was living outside Atlanta for part of this year and I have a friend who lives near Atlanta as well and my daughter bought two plane tickets.

We got there! It was so cool!

After defying a bit of claustrophobia getting to the pop up, we were among the penguins!

We also took a walk through an area called Cabbagetown, and saw so many incredible murals. Here are just a few.

Wealso made our way to the Botanical Garden. It was amazing!

We also had ice cream! (Yes, it was yummy enough to be included.)
We also added to my daughter's Inciardi print collection! Do you know about these mini art vending machines? They are such fun little souvenirs and each little print only costs one dollar. Some of them have something to do with the location the machine is at. Check the map to see if there is one near you, bring some quarters!

Maybe we can even trade some if you aren't in Syracuse! This is the machine near us...
...and the prints come out in these little cardboard folders.
