Then I started watching regularly. After 9/11 I became obsessed with watching the news. Then finally, suddenly, I just quit. I cannot stand to hear of some young person dying in some tragic accident. Or some family losing a father. It has become that I feel like I know them and I feel the loss so deeply that I carry it for days.
